After what almost seemed like an endless wait for the huge ps3 announcement, sony has finally reavealed what they had up there sleeve… a new slim version of the ps3 and a price drop for the original. And there wont even be a large wait because they have set the release date for September 1.

The new console specifications are:
it will be 36 % light
33% smaller
a 120 gb harddrive
and all the regular features of a ps3

It is set to have a price of $299, or 299 euros and 29980 yen

For the original PS3 system, the price has been lowered to $299

Many among the gaming community have been waiting years for such an announcement. Hopefully, this may inspire more game developers to make games for the system.
